Hello doofrat,
I’ve bought 2 cars through carsdirect.com. You are actually buying them through local participating dealers. Carsdirect is like a broker, the prices they show will take into consideration any rebates offered, and discounts, that sometimes puts the price below invoice. You still need to go get the car at the dealership. The great thing about the internet, is now most dealerships have a internet sales department, and this is the best experience (painless) way I have been buying cars. Also, recently I noticed that carsdirect.com was not the best price. I checked with the Costco method (same thing as carsdirect with participating dealers), and they were $200 below invoice, when carsdirect was a couple hundred below retail.
In closing, it’s safe, it’s easy, and it’s the best way to go if you do not like to play games (haggle, waste time) trying to get to that same price.
Good luck

TubaParticipantGreat piece Juice!
I am a Gen Xr and I am an Independent. I was going to vote for Giuliani when it looked almost certain that Hillary was going to be the Democratic nominee. But, you can’t compete with “Obama rides in with youth, vigor, intelligence, charisma and no real specifics other than ‘hope’, ‘change’ and and the ‘dawning of a new tomorrow’.” I believe Giuliani is a take charge and get things done kind of guy, but Obama has peaked my interest with what you wrote. It will be a tough decision when it comes down to November, if your prediction is correct.

It is true that KB Home does push the 90 day schedule, and pressure the homeowners to close within KB’s time frame (qtr numbers). But, the homes are built with quality up until you reach the finish stage. This is where the homeowners come into play with the homeowner walk prior to Close of Escrow. You go through every inch of the house room by room and you have the customer service rep document everything you see. This is extremely important, because KB’s and most other large builders have a policy to not close a home without that walk list being 100% complete and signed off by the homeowner. With that being said, just as the previous KB Homeowner stated, they will take care of you during the standard 1 year stucco to stucco warranty. Also, another note, where KB really makes their money is in the studio options you choose, where the other builders might give as standard.
Good luck, and thank god for SB800
