Participant$180 seems excessive! I have a large yard with lots of grass, shrubs, palms, etc and I expect them to pull weeds. I pay for WEEKLY yard maintenance, $100/month, if they didn’t show up one week I would not pay, that is ridiculous. I have already fired one gardener cause he didn’t want to pull weeds, period. Not even for extra money! Am getting ready to search out another, cause this one is getting a little messy, came home the last few weeks to find clumps that must have fallen off the lawn mower, looked like horse poop through the yard. I would ask for references…..but apparently I am cheap!

ParticipantI received a marketing call yesterday from a company called Acro Energy (the guy on the phone said he was located in Temecula). They were saying that if my SDGE bill was over $150/month I qualified for subsidized solar. Lots of Rebates and I would pay nothing upfront. I found the people I spoke with annoying and rather ignorant (they sounded stupid and uneducated, which I suppose makes me a snob, but is one of my peeves), I am definitely interested in solar, but they were unable to provide any concrete details. I thought it would involve a visit to my home to evaluate the potential benefit of solar, roof capability all that….I offered to set up an appointment to meet them, they said it was not necessary to see my house. They never even asked about square footage. I took their number and said I would call them back at my convienance.
Has anybody heard of these folks or have any thoughts/suggestions?
