ParticipantI concur with SD realtor, I ignore the politics and it doesn’t bother me enough to vote for outright ban in order to preserve my right to talk about football, drinking and women. After the Lakers loss, the Padres meltdown, all I have left is football. We are less than two months from the start of the season, the Chargers pretty much have their team intact and their top three all had surgery so they should be healthy. I’ve got my season all planned out, going to make sure I enter August unencumbered as far as girlfriends go so as to not find myself committed to any non football activities, last season was miserable in that regards. SD, Alan and I will be hijacking a thread near you. McFadden and Walker give Alan and his raiders something to talk about as well (plus Al Davis could die any minute). Houses are just places to watch football and drink anyway, so it’s kinda related. Alan and Sd won’t be able to help themselves, they will post a response.
See I hijacked the thread, just like that, BAM.
Can I vote on FLU’s poll even though I’m not an enginerd, I pick all of the above.

ParticipantI think it is a combination of things mentioned above but mostly the slowdown in posts or the deviation to gas prices, stocks and politics is because of the season. We all expected the decline in prices to stall from April to August, we are in a bit of an intermission. 80% of the posters are looking at a select few, higher end San Diego markets and those areas have yet to take serious 50% off hits, as their day approaches you will see an uptick in activity here. It is a boring time in the cycle. Another factor along the lines of what JWM said about life sometimes interferes, the sunshine, vacations, etc. has most of us distracted, as the days get shorter and the meltdown reumes, this site will be more active.

ParticipantPlug in, hybrids and multi fuel have no excuse to be birth control cars. They will be sexy, fast and make you want to drive them, just give it a little more time, all brought to you by $5 gas.

ParticipantIt’s a combination of things, banks are overworked, repos don’t mimmic the selling season and most importantly, we are at the tail end of the selling season, so the pressure is on for those who want to close in time for school. And it could be a glitch for the exact search you ran but i am seeing dwindling inventory in my neck of the woods which is supposed to be foreclosure wasteland. People are buying the well priced onesand the ones that turn my head have not survived their first day listed, I was pissed but then started to realize as the pool of fence sitters dries up, seasonal demand falls, the repos will still hit the market at the same or an increased rate, so look for the tables to turn in the fall.
In a normal market the sellers want to sell during the spring/summer so the inventory rises along with demand, banks aren’t switching schools and their employees take more vacations this time of year so it’s creating an unusual scenario that the R/E crowd is trying to hype and it is actually factual but wont be long lived. Things will start tapering off any day now, we are 45-60 days until school starts.
