    I watched this cycle in the last downturn.

    First, you’ll see builders stop building as they run out of capital. Next, you’ll see builders go through BK. Finally, the builders who survived will buy up the vacant lots left by the previous builder and construction will resume.

    This whole cycle can take 3 to 5 years.

    …oh, and forgot to mention…we’re not for limitations on casinos. Let the Indians open as many as they want!

    I kinda like the idea of them buying America back one parcel at a time…with money that was gambled away to boot!

    Thanks Colombo! I thought that right was revoked all together – didn’t realize I could still vote on the Dem side. Great info…

    Now, what sense does it make for the Reps to not allow independents to vote? If I can vote in the Dem primary, it gets us independents used to voting that way…

    I just can’t believe my eyes at those mortgage sizes, Dominic. We make many times over the avg household income in SD county and we would never dream of getting that big a mortgage! Virtually every house has a 700K to 1000K loan!

    Those folks must have absolutely enormous salaries or, more likely, they are IO loans. And if so, when do the resets come? Lessee, they moved in during 2005 and 2006….hmmmm…..

    I’ll vote for Obama or Clinton, depending upon whose name shows up on the ballot (I’m an independent and don’t get to vote in the primaries). I think they are both qualified and if I see another wavy haired rich old white male in the oval office, I think I’ll get sick!

    Besides, we’ve just went through the worst president in US history – anything has got to be better.

    I’ve always said what TheBreeze has been preaching – a Dem on one side (Prez or congressional majority) and a Rep on the other. That way they can keep an eye on each other and we get more representative laws and budgets. But for the time being, I’ll take a Dem on both sides to try and erase some of the last decade.

    Wifey, she’ll vote Democratic I guarantee you.
