ParticipantI just spoke with a REO specialist that hasnt been very busy. In the last 2 weeks he got 25 new listings. Seems to me that’s a sign the banks are starting to understand what they are looking at.

ParticipantFYi, the vast majority of expired and cancelled listings are relisted within one week which kinda pops the bubble of the inventory on the sidelines argument. The real invenory on the sidelines isnt these, it’s all the NOD’s and potential short sale properties out there.

ParticipantUpdate time!
Short sales 2,601,up from 2,536 last week! Increases are still steady.
Countywide we are at 18,112 up from 17,981 last week.
Along the NC Coastal submarket the market staged a little comeback. I will try to post some data later tonite.
Not much new to report as I was out of town on trip related to one of my side business. One very cool thing did happen, I got to share my WSJ with none other than Warren Buffett who was in town to see the owner of the corporation I was visiting on a personal matter. Didnt get a chance to say much more than “Good Morning” and “Yes you can share my WSJ Mr Buffett”.
