ParticipantGetting a warrant is not difficult. Dui cops now need a warrant for a blood draw too. There’s judges on call ….it’s all very quick and relatively easy.

ParticipantPlease mark me DNR.
I don’t know if I’ll change My tune when the shot hits the fan but most medical care I don’t want. Keep your bypass and your angioplasty, your statins, your back surgeries, most chemo. I’ll take a hernia repair, and broken bone setting. For most things I think I’m just gonna go with the natural flow unless I get really really good odds… I don’t want to die on the table.
I just read an interview with the author of
Knocking on heavens door the path to a better way of death
Katy butler
In the sun magazine.
Pretty awesome writer.
I’m in a strange mood. Society spends a lot of money and energy for very little if any extra good life
Now good dental care.. that I covet..barackatooth?
I think ultimately I’m more concerned with a path to a good death than more health care options.
My gut sense is most medical intervention isn’t worth the risk. I don’t believe doctors or their numbers. I just dont.

ParticipantSetting aside taxes sometimes I feel like making it is just too long and hard a slog and if my life were a business it would just be marginal and we should probably just fold. At least that’s how I used to feel 10 years ago financially.
Sometimes I think that feeling us transferred to taxes or money generally. That if it were just a bit more profitable everything would be cool.
Maybe

Participant64 is kind of old for this work unless she’s in very good shape.
From the nanny’s point of view, it is her place..she lives there….If she gets fired does she have to leave imnediately? That doesn’t seem fair.
Wonder If there are special leases for live in workers?
Maybe the family’s lucky she didn’t allege threats and get a tro v. The parents…

ParticipantI have always liked making money.
I’d miss that I think.
I definitely won’t play golf. I do like roller rinks however.

ParticipantMy realtor showed me well over 50 places. And never showed one iota of pushiness. But if he had I would’ve told him to shut it. Try saying shut up; see if that works.

ParticipantThis sucks.
Not sure what I would do to speed it up. Lots of impulses run through my mind

Participant
Oh honestly soda is the evil I wish I could give up. Soda IS the gateway drug.
Congratulations!
What did I give up? My two seater convertible sports car. I now drive a minivan. Sliding rear doors is just way less effort to try and not door ding everyone into oblivion.
If you’re a month out, hopefully all your prep is finished. Arrival could be any day. You say him, so if you’re having a boy, have you are you wife already agreed on yes or no on circumcision? The hospital will ask you when you’re at your most tired.
Along the lines of surfing, daddy and me swim lesson start as young as 3 months. Lots of dads in the pool!
Participantwhat about the idea of not washing jeans for a long time. underwear by weight is relatively light, alo by volume small…but jeans, and esp. towels, are huge. wear your jeans for a month, two months. don’t wear heavy things that will get super sweaty, like during yard work.
part of this laundry explosion is controllable.
also, when babies areyoung and spitting up a lot, I used to leave them shirtless more often and just wipe them down, instead of creating spit up laundry. let him roam in his diaper.

ParticipantDon’t wear socks
Skip underwear.

Participantit’s difficult for me to comprehend not working. it’s not even the stopping working during the day, i can imagine not going to work, it’s the general “work on the mind”, problems at work, repairing minor disasters, planning what i need to do by when, worrying about little things, etc.
i hear about lawyers and judges who die the moment they retire, probably because they relax for the first time in years and a vessel bursts because it’s not being properly clamped down on or something. i think i would have to ease into it so i don’t explode or implode.
i would like to be an old manual laborer. i read about some vietnamese guy in his 90s who rides a bicycke rickshaw. something like that. putting up fences or something.
