ParticipantI don’t need the luck. I don’t bet on anything that can be fixed, including the stock market.
In any event, the gamblers at inTrade are simply looking at the poll results and not their methodology.

Participant
So what if Obama’s birth certificate says he was Muslim on that particular day when he was born? (again what is wrong with being Muslim?) Mine says I am Catholic. That organization kicked me out a long time ago and I have been agnostic since. I bet a lot of people’s original labels no longer fit them.
I agree, Rustico. It doesn’t (and shouldn’t!) make a difference whether Obama is Muslim. But according to the Constitution, it does make a difference if Obama is not a natural born citizen.
US Constitution, Article II, Section 1 provides that:
“No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.”
I think the question that seems to be nagging at many people is why Obama won’t simply present a certified copy of his birth certificate as McCain has done. He may perfectly legitimate reasons for not doing so. The question is, what are those reasons, and does it work to his advantage not to produce his b.c.

ParticipantWell, John, given the way the polls have been trending in the battleground states for the past 48 hours, you may not have to concern yourself with a constitutional crisis. Obama may be able to keep his birth certificate in hiding forever.
PA and VA are now apparently up for grabs. McCain now has the lead in OH.
At the risk of enduring a public outcry on this board, I’d like to post a warning flag: don’t be surprised if McCain wins this election. And don’t be surprised if it’s a landslide (albeit by small margins in each state). There appears to be a silent majority awakening in this country over the past week. This could be the biggest upset in American political history. I suspect that polling methodology will have to be re-examined, re-engineered and reformulated after this election.
