I heard that to, but even now there is an after market conversion that costs about $10k, but that is supposed to get cheaper with the 2010. But from the research I have done, I can’t find anything to support this. I was told this by someone with Toyota, but who really knows, seems that Toyota keeps everthing close to their vest.

novice1027ParticipantI heard a “rumor” that the 2010 Prius would have the capability for an after market electric conversion for about $4k. We’ll see.
But it goes to show that GM’s greed didn’t pay off. I feel bad for the employees, but the rest of the greedy pigs are getting what they deserve!novice1027ParticipantI heard a “rumor” that the 2010 Prius would have the capability for an after market electric conversion for about $4k. We’ll see.
