ParticipantCoronavirus/Racial Riots/Economy/Stock Market
Riots…is this one of those situations that’s unfolding in slow motion and MOST people just simply not noticing it? Can’t be good for the stock market. Not now with the riots and not later with the outcome of the trials for the cops. I am taking even more money off of the table.

ParticipantThere should be a weight threshold for gov’t officials at any level. America should always project the image that we’re serious and strong. Hal is the antithesis of that. People around the world who don’t know better and saw this video would think that America is the land of the fat slob pigs – starting from the top down to a small town mayor in Petal, MS.

ParticipantI am interested in finding out when he’ll move his company and get the fvck out of California. I am a fan of tesla from day one, but the fvker’s mouth and antics are getting tiresome.

ParticipantI checked the options. These small potatoes usually don’t offer options.

ParticipantI can attest to that. My breakfast is a cup of coffee or two. If I do my exercise during lunch, a casual 2-3 miles walk, then I can get away with having a glass of juice or small snack for lunch. I am more alert in the afternoon and more productive.
Not sure how things work, but I tend to crave for food more if I don’t skip my walk. And if I eat a full meal for lunch, my afternoon is pretty much shot especially around 2-3 p.m.ltsddd
ParticipantI am going to short 100 shares of ABIO tomorrow, if it’s still 15 or higher, just for the rush.

ParticipantShouldn’t be much of an issue since most people should already be at the low rate of 3.5% or lower.

ParticipantSell in May and go away? When exactly in May – the 1st or 31st? I’ve taken a little $$ off the table the last few sessions. Small caps is up roughly 40% since beginning of April.

Participant
How’s the Apple/Google app going? Seem like we’re falling behind other countries in contract tracing.
Trump was touting the app months ago.
Trump was saying the virus will go away when the weather heats up. That was our country’s plan to deal with the virus.

ParticipantContacts tracing has proven to be an effective method to keep the virus at bay. Not sure how practical and expensive it is to carry out here in the U.S., but the most successful countries in Asia in dealing with the virus employed similar strategy.
“By mid-March, Vietnam was sending everyone who entered the country – and anyone within the country who’d had contact with a confirmed case – to quarantine centres for 14 days.
Costs were mostly covered by the government, though accommodation was not necessarily luxurious. ”
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-52628283
“Korea’s strategy of targeted testing and aggressive contact tracing has been held up as a successful example of how to contain the virus — even as other countries have been slow to adopt it.”
We never know what will work and what won’t. But at least these countries had a plan and acted upon it.
