It is a condo and I guess the HOA hasn’t setup a policy since only a few of the lock boxes have labels on them. The rest are blank.
I also found it interesting that census was out and about the other day looking for people that didn’t send in their reports. The guy stopped and asked me if I knew if certain units were occupied or not (they were close to my unit). I said that I wasn’t posetive, but that they were probably empty. The guy chuckled and said “yeah I think a bunch of these are empty”.
I saw him roaming around knocking on doors for a few days, but never went to ask him if he had any luck with more of the units.
I am tempted to go and put some “flyers” in the door handles and see how many are left in the doors after a week or so.
I have also noticed that several of the assigned parking spots are always empty.
All of this makes me think that there is a shadow inventory in my complex, and that the lock boxes really are for the banks.

jyurasek02ParticipantCool, thanks. What about the 16 lock boxes at my property but only 1 is listed in MLS? Is there a way to find out about these properties? I assume they are bank owned, and not released to agent yet?

jyurasek02ParticipantHow do you find the listing agents? If i go to RealtyTrac, it requires an account to get the info. Is there an easier way to find the listing agents, or do I need to pay for a RealtryTrac membership?
Also, if banks start releasing mroe properties how do we find out which companies they were realeased to manage them? I would like to get in touch with the listing agents as quickly as possible.
