JoshParticipant
My Mother in law moved to a house she bought 5 years ago and one night she saw the ghosts of lady and a child standing near her bed. She never told any of her children but me. A year ago, one of her sons came to the house for the first time and at night he also saw a lady and a child. I don’t believe in ghost but I don’t believe that my Mother in law and Brother in Law would lie to me about this.
JoshParticipantI wouldn’t buy any house with a dead child and a murdered naked woman even with 30% off.
November 1, 2011 at 7:04 AM in reply to: Will the bank let me borrow for an investment property? #731835JoshParticipantWe had over $100k in cash last year but after buying the house and spending about $20k on appliances and upgrades we were down to 0 savings. Because we are so low in cash, that is why I am having some concerns. We also have close to $200k in 401k but I don’t want to touch that.
Perhaps I could wait another year and save an additional $25k before investing. Hope real estate price remains low. I need to invest somewhere because I am really tired of stocks. We started our 401k 8 years ago and basically we are about minus 5% with our stocks which is a huge disappointment. I think stock investment is a scam for people like us because the CEOs and management raking in huge bonuses and creating new shares to give to themselves which didutes the value of the shares you and I buy.

some discussion about this house in August, seems like it was rebuilt in 2003. But why the huge price jump between 2004 and 2007?
JoshParticipantI wrote that the parking spot is between the two driveways. I can afford to live here, but like most young adult couples after buying a house, I don’t have a lot of cash. We can save around $10K a year after 401Ks and everything but we want to build up the rainy day cash fund a little faster. I can understand the issue of turning my house into a boarding house but a 2000 sq ft home for three people is hardly crowded. We are all very quiet people.
The issue is that you have turned your house into a boardinghouse/dorm house.
You can’t afford to live there.
Also, legality aside in reality it is more than rude to park in front of your neighbors house generally speaking.
JoshParticipantThanks. I don’t worry about it any more. I think my neighbor is a little pissed off b/c my tenant sometimes park in “his spot”. That is a parking spot right between my driveway and his driveway and he thinks that belongs to him. My tenant is a student who leaves the house at 7am and returns at 7 pm. she is very clean, quiet and most importantly doesn’t eat at home. Yes, $600 without tax is nice.
JoshParticipantI think I will try both at the same time. If the IVF doctor is not against it. I have read somewhere that accupunture and IVF togetther is better.
thanks,

We know a few people who’ve had success with accupuncture even when “modern medical technologies” didn’t work. IMHO, it might be worth trying this before moving to the heavy stuff.

JoshParticipantThanks every one for your comments. At the end, I was only interviewing White and Asian candidates and I rented the room out to an Asian American UCSD student. I just perceive Asian and White people are less threatening to have in my house and are less like to miss the rent payment. Of course, there are exceptions but I am just playing with percentages here. Arabs, on the other hand, it is the religion thing. I would feel weird if someone starts to say “allah akbark” five times a day in my house.
