ParticipantI’d like to know where these 100K+ tech jobs are, because I don’t see them anywhere

ParticipantI have to admit, the people on this site are much more wealthy than people I know, or me. I am working on changing that though 🙂
I sometimes read the stats on this site and can’t believe the cash people have.

ParticipantThanks Kev374,
I was looking at the 120-150k statement and thinking to myself.. wow! I didn’t think that was that common! Though, if you look around you, you would think $120k+ incomes is the norm with all the bmws in parking lots

ParticipantOK, now.. this is a shoot in left field and see if anyone catches it type of thing.
(thanks for the links perry)What are people thinking that typical prices may be after all the manure hits the fan? Where will it lie after all the chaos? 2001 type prices?

Participantdamn, what do you people do that make over 100K? Wow.
I agree. Just was talking to a friend. They bought a condo in 2002, saw it’s value shoot through the roof, I told them to sell last year. They didn’t. Have lost alot of what was potential equity since then.
Well, they found a house that isn’t on the market, sold through a friend of a friend etc. that someone’s grandma died in and has been vacant for a year.
They want to buy it. A fixer upper on the edge of PB/Clairemont (I guess) 3 bed 2 bath 2 car gar. for upper 500’s. I tried to talk them out of it. I guess from the upstairs master you can see the ocean as far left and right as you can see.
I got the typical “everyone wants to live in PB” and things like that. I gave up 🙁

ParticipantI wish we would toughen up laws. A mother comes to the united states illegally and has the baby here. That baby is not a citizen.
I know it sounds horrible but no medical attention either. Nothing. If the risks are higher people will think twice about it. If they know that they hurt themselves and can’t get help until they come all the way back to their country they will think about it.
This topic could be pages. Off topic but juice I wish you well. Don’t forget though that if you move somewhere else a mexican won’t be cutting your grass, or blowing leaves out of your gutters and shoveling your sidewalk. So home ownership could be less blissful than it may seem.

ParticipantGet over the need to plant flowers and start loving things like increasing your savings and getting more than 10% gains, don’t become one of the saps that thinks with their heart strings only. You are def. not in a good position to buy right now. Tour the neighborhoods, find one that you absolutly love, and rent. If it needs a few things change them and call the money you spend savings compared to what you would lose if you bought.

ParticipantI hope so, while I have been a piggington for a while, it sometimes is hard to look at the prices and think they can drop by that much, only time will tell! I’m willing to wait!

ParticipantI too was looking at places and put in offers that were rejected in March 2006. After wondering how these places could reject my offer at such crazy prices, I decided to do more research.
After finding this site all my wondering stopped, because the data was here for me to analyze.
I was even able to show my wife the graphs and she too won’t even look at MLS data until 2008. (I just wanted to show her how prices are coming down)
I’m glad I found this site, and enjoy the intelligent and sometimes not so intelligent banter it provides.
Thanks guys!
