Participant“marginal buyers”… does that refer to all the ignorant, uneducated, whiny, bitter, renting losers that make less than half a mil per year? or just people who can count?

Participanti dont get it. a guy labels another as naive for thinking the president can truly affect the economy, the guy resorts to Argument by Definition in order to vainly support his ideology… and then turns around demanding critical thought from others… how does that work?
just… wow.

Participant“Al Gore would not have gone to war in Iraq. Thousand of Americans and hundred of thousand of Iraqi would be alive today. ”
probably true.
“America would have higher mileage cars and Ford would not be near bankruptcy. ”
probably not true. rep controlled congress at the time, dem take over unlikely if gore were pres.
“We would have an alternative energy industry that would provide some good paying jobs and exports for America. ”
ditto
“We would still have the surplus carried over from the Clinton years, no war debt and we wouldn’t have to borrow from the Chinese or the Saudis. ”
possible, but the dot bomb, was putting a squeeze on the economy at the time…
bottom line, however, when asked “what/who are the alternatives”, i think we’re seeing that *anyone* would have been better than bush. even the corvair guy, what’s his name…
edit: there’s a john stewart bit regarding cape wind and fat kennedy… nimby politics on off shore wind power…

Participanthmm… maybe her pregnancy is a metaphor for home ownership… her jealous sisters being but bitter (and barren) spinsters/renters…
although the vacant womb is a twist. like this murrieta woman’s vacant home, she can’t be both pregnant and have a vacancy at the same time…
