I have never heard anybody actually making money on Gold, that is, actually selling it for a profit. Most buy and hold, hold so long they Will it away. If selling for a profit starts to happen how fast would the price fall? I can see myself buying it, the prices then plunge, and I fall in love with the shine not the luster.
I listed the house I am living in now with the Realtor who knocked on my door. He seemed to be a great guy with not much experience but somebody had to give him a chance. I forgot to tell him I rent.
If you want an oversized new house with lots of overpriced “extras” I think this is the best time to buy. When the current phase, or next couple at most, are built count on either smaller houses, or the same house with much fewer amenities.
I was up at the “Pine Mountain Club”, 60 miles north of LA, last weekend, what a dump. Lots of crappy little cabins next to MCcabins. I would say 30-40% of the place is on the market. It was so bad it reminded me of Big Bear.

I actually think Chamberlame owns a mobile home somewhere near San Marcos. He also had his divorced son buy a house about a year ago. He kicked me off his show when I caught him using misleading numbers, his last line in a huff, “If he wants to keep throwing money away on rent…”
