That makes sense. The lure of money leads even corporations to make financial decisions illogically, not just Dick and Jane when buying a house.In a way I understand why they did it, and in another way I still can’t grasp what they were thinking.
As far as the bailout, it cracks me up how the media is already starting to criticize Bush for not doing anything soon enough. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn’t Congress make the laws, and the FED and GSE’s handle finance?
Yeah, but let’s blame Bush anyway.

ParticipantI’m glad to see people finally starting to realize how screwed up the housing/lending and related industries were over the past several years, but it leads me to 2 questions:
What are they going to do the people who allowed and encouraged this crap? Are they supposed to get off because they now admit they made a mistake?
Where were all these insights in the middle of lending $500,000 to a $12/hr part time parking lot attendant?
