this is zillow and redfin and ziprealty for the Facebook and tweeter crowd.
I don’t really see it that way (I’m not part of that crowd)… to me the appeal is really that the search is a lot more powerful than redfin and the others. To a nerd like me who likes to be able to search across lots of data and parameters to dial in on things, that’s pretty cool.
No matter how good the searches are, it is totally inadequate for me if I’m unable to view it on a full-size desktop monitor.
Agree with this.
From my understanding, a desktop version is in the works, but the first priority is mobile since that’s were all the growth is at. I work at an auto dealer and am in charge of our online marketing and the other week, our factory marketing consultant showed me how traffic to our desktop website has been continually dropping over the last few years (precipitously in the last 2) but visits to our mobile site have exploded. With that being the case, we ended up allocating a lot more resources to our mobile website. If I were to guess, that’s why they’re doing the iphone app first.

I really loved the first commercial they made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj21AM6oSaA It was really clever. They are bootstrapping it and had a really low budget. The company mentioned it was all shot with employees or family members of employees.
And here are some instructional videos that show what features they have. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cv5bFRKnYfw Although they told us beta testers that there are many more features coming so I’m sure the product will drastically change. From the first version I beta tested to each version they have updated to it’s been remarkable watching it develop. Very educational experience!

The ability to collect and compare individual living spaces and then quickly share what you’ve curated with the Missus has been a real eye opener. Prior, it was a mess trying to sit down and share notes on what we each personally scoured through a million different sites, etc. Like the saying goes, a picture is worth 1,000 words.
