ParticipantI don’t even like the Chargers, but I hate Baltimore and Pittsburgh, so it looks like I am a Chargers fan for now.
My sons on the other hand have to take so much crap about not being Chargers fans that they will root for the “Stillers” when playing SD.
I have failed as a father…. Of course my Browns have been a joke since coming back into the league and it’s made it really hard watching Sunday football. I’m too jealous of all my buds who are Steeler and Charger fans.

ParticipantSupporting major ERP apps or things like Peoplesoft seems to be fairly stable.
You can outsource some things, but you still need people here close to the user base who can effectively communicate. Also packages like Websphere/Weblogic/Tibco aren’t bad either.
Now the tough part is you if don’t have the experience you have to find someone willing to train you which means looking at your background to see if you have the skills that would transfer.
Now Indians can do some of this work, but not all. It requires onshore and offshore resources working in tandem.

ParticipantI am considered more of a team lead or platform lead for a commercial software package which I am hoping is not “middle management” enough as most technical decisions come directly through me. I kind of get to wear the architect hat, but direct a the tasks of a few others both here and in India. Still it’s a bit scary out there.
