That is good to know. It will make me vote for her. As a legal immigrant, I supported Trump’s position on illegal immigration issue. This country is supposed to one where people follow laws, which is why I wanted to immigrate here.
June 1, 2016 at 2:23 PM in reply to: OT: Does anyone have a list of local politicians that are endorsing Trump? #798180cahunterParticipantI attended a meeting with Denise Gitsham in Sorrento Valley two weeks ago. Someone asked this question. She clearly said that she would not support Donald Trump.
John Horst stated he supports Trump when I asked.
Denise Gitsham – I sent her Facebook page a message regarding her support for Trump with no reply. So, I’m assuming yes.Which means I will be voting for Scott Peters.
cahunterParticipantI have learned this bill for some time and have emailed and called my state assembly representative to vote NO on this bill.
Ed Hernandez sponsored similar bill, SB 185, in 2011. It was passed in both state senate and assembly but vetoed by Governor Jerry Brown. This time around, he is hope that with the 2/3 majority power of democrats, this bill can be presented to California voters to decide in November election.
This is a bill of race discrimination to me. Its ridiculousness is best illustrated by a comment I read here: http://capoliticalnews.com/2014/02/02/most-racist-bill-in-california-history-sca-5-by-democrat-senator-hernandez-forces-racism-as-criteria-to-entrance-to-uc-schools-limit-womens-enrollment-as-well/#IDComment796169378
I am very sad by this proposal. I am Korean adopted by a Hispanic family. Looks like all my siblings will get a better chance to get to college but me
. How stupid this is! I love my adoption family but this makes me sick to stomach.April 23, 2009 at 9:56 AM in reply to: Short-Sale Shenanigans…….Gotta be a way to keep the listing agents honest #386140cahunterParticipant
Why on earth in today’s climate would you want to “compete” for a house?
The banks and Realtors are the only ones who can possibly come out winners.
Do a little research.
In the recent months, I have made offers on over 10 houses in Mira Mesa. I generally looked at the house condition and recent sales and came up with my offer price. I did not look at the asking price at all. I got overbidden in almost all of them. And this is the only house that the final closing price is below my offer price. For most of them, the final sale price is 10k more than I offered.
My feeling is that you need to be very lucky to get the deal as good as it appears on the closing price. This pretty surprised me considering the current economic situations. When I sat on the sideline, I thought that this is buyer’s market and I would definitely get the house if I am willing to offer the listing price. But my experience told me otherwise.

I made an offer on this house at 9111 Penticton in Mira Mesa with 30% down. It went pending after on market for 2/3 days. I went to see the house on the first day it came to market. And during the time I was touring the house, 4 other groups came to visit. And now the closing price is 15k less than what I offered.
http://www.sdlookup.com/MLS-090005276-9111_Penticton_San_Diego_Ca_92126I believe that there was something going on there. Can you check if this is an insider transaction?

February 15, 2009 at 8:13 PM in reply to: buy a home in wife’s name to claim the $8000 tax credit #346917cahunterParticipantAre you saying that even if we buy a house under both’s names, we can still file tax separately and my wife can get half of the tax credit? That is even better than I expected.
