ParticipantLTE blows all the other “4G” out of the water. I have my Thunderbolt for roughly 3-4 months now and loving it. I root my phone, so I can turn off LTE if I don’t want the speed but when I want it, it FAST. Faster than my land line. I can get 15Mb down and 5Mb up with just 1 bar. They’re definitely capping the speed if I can get that kind of speed with just 1 bar. Also, once I have 4.3″ screen phone, all the other 3.5″ screen phones feel so small. Although the iPhone 4 might have higher res screen, nothing beat the actual screen size being bigger. iPhone resale value is “higher” because you have to shell out more for the phone. At one point, after a month of release, you can get the Thunderbolt for $100 on Amazon. So, you’ll be paying less for the actual phone, which mean it’s more likely that you can recoup your cost.

ParticipantJp and car might feel forced, because they’re ok with paying more for American made. However, the majority of the buying public disagree. I know I do. The majority of the stuff that are disposable, the cheaper the better. I guess when you’re the minority, it does feel forced.

ParticipantI’ve been rooting for Linux for a long time. For the last 6-7 years, I’ve been trying Linux various distributions. I got close to dropping Windows last year with Ubuntu, but I end up having to go back, due to a few apps & games that I need and Linux doesn’t have. Maybe in a couple years, I can completely cut the cord. But as of right now, Linux is close but not quite there.

ParticipantThe cost of HOA & MR would be similar to adding between $80k-100k to the cost of the house. That’s would mean you can get a 2600 sq-ft house for ~$490k-510k/month.
