ParticipantWhen people are stretching themselves as tight as possible to make a $2600 or a $4500 a month payment, yes $50-$100 more is a lot. That right there is the difference of buying a little extra food, buying a little extra gas, or buying a little extra anything without having to charge it to your credit card.

Why would you lock right now with the peak for the last year. not me. if rates keep on going up then thank god you never bought in now because the market is about to burn to death.

ParticipantI agree that the UT is bad media, but it was funny how the local media tries not to be the bearer of bad news for local residents. This news is awful for current buyers and sellers. Now the waiting game will get longer and sooner or later the sellers are going to nose dive prices because the last bit of housing correction has been washed out by the latest interest hike.
Resets are going to BOMB!!!!

ParticipantIt took the Union Tribune 5 days to catch up and finally write about the rate hikes. What I meant about erie quiet is that news outlets didn’t even know the rate hikes happened. They all claim to have been “shocked” by the quick hike.

ParticipantI apologize SDR for commenting on how you were trying to claim you knew that rates would be go up. You did indeed say they would. Looking at the year chart they went this high back in June/July as well. It seems to be just a trend right now, but some analysts think this may be the start of more rate hikes.

ParticipantAre you sure you weren’t an ambulance driver. You seem to post the facts after the fact. now that rates are acting like you knew this would happen but never peeped on word prior.
