“Republicans almost never break from party ranks”
That’s absurd. The reason McCain is having such a difficult time is precisely because many Republicans have broken ranks. I know I have. I’m sick of them. They had their chance to change things when they had power and they behaved like Democrats. Now they are paying the price.
The reason Democratic groups are always in-fighting is because they are all trying to grab their piece of the taxpayer pie. It will get worse as they acquire more power.

Yes, it is true. Fox News can say nothing bad about Obama. Oh, wait, maybe I’m confused.
Since you’re claiming the media favors Obama, then is your premise that Fox News is not part of the media? If that’s your point, then by golly I agree! Fox News is one big Republican ad.

October 23, 2008 at 1:48 PM #291766crParticipantYou guys are missing the point. He is using the example of the media’s favortism of Obama to prove they no longer serve their purpose.
The fact that Obama supporters are offended by this is more evidence of this bias. You fail to accept that Obama is anything less than perfect, based only on what you are exposed to. If both sides were fairly depicted, analyzed, priased and criticized then the public could make a more educated decision.
Instead the media chooses a candidate and people blindly follow.
I was in downtown LA today and saw “OBAMA” tagged in spraypaint on the guardwall of a freeway offramp. My guess is whoever did it couldn’t tell you what MBS or ARM stands for, or even point to Iraq on a map, but that person is convinced Obama is right.
