Another Fox News investigative report tonight on Backyard Dreambuilders. They are a scam contractor who has swindled many homeowners. Basically they do very shoddy work building pools and large waterscapes. They do poor work and then bail on the work. The owner has done this for awhile now, he piles up complaints then closes the company and starts another one.
The bottom line is before you get ANY major work done by a contractor check the BBB and ABSOLUTELY check references.
