I don’t know, downtown SD has a kind of Downtown Disney feel to me. Maybe like AN says it could develop into something more in 20 years and it probably will (but I think it’s going to be more than 20 years personally). Anyway I would not even mention our downtown in the same breath as the premier cities in America. It just doesn’t have an authentic city feel to it. Hard to explain. But when I think city I think NYC, SF, Chi…even Portland and SEA have more of a city feel than here. But we do have the weather….

My client that was the subject of the original properties on this thread just opened escrow on an amazing property. We still need to get through all the inspections to ensure everything is fine with the house but on the surface it looks great. They got an Olivenhainlike property at the beach for what I beleive is a year 2000 and possibly even a 1999 price. Looks to be about 40% maybe more off peak value. Cant beleive I pulled this one off. It is one for the record books!
