Historical Persepctive:
Russia and Turkey have been at it for centuries: Crimean War, The Russian-Turkish War, WWI, control over the Bosphorus (more latterly Crimea), the Kurd factor, current split of alliance (Assad vs Arab states).

Two nutters (Putin and Erdojan) in the middle of a complex regional conflict is a recipe for disaster. How is it that people like this so easily find their way into power able to do what they want while f**king it up for the rest of us.

The whole world is probably running on the edge of capacity with little room for error. A few quick changes and I doubt we can adapt. What if the extra Syrian refugees in retrospect seem like a drop in the bucket.

Kind of silly to worry about something we can’t control. The time to act was when bush Cheney set the end of the wold in motion. But there was nothing that could’ve been done then either.[/quote]
I wouldn’t underestimate the power of the people.
