Sellers owe taxes

So, according to the escrow docs, the sellers are delinquent on their taxes. I was hoping someone here at Piggington could comment.

I’ve been told that the delinquent (and current) taxes, as well as the penalty will be taken out of the payment upon close of escrow. The only language in the docs I have found that may pertain to this is:
the following paragraph:

Subject to the condition that at the time of closing proof of payment must be submitted to this Company. Any delinquency or supplemental taxes or funds will be held for a period of 60 days from the date of payment.
