    You pay $10k just for MR and HOA and another $13k for property tax which is almost $2k/month for all fees and taxes!!?? Is that really worth it? Why not buy a house in La Jolla for a little more and save on MR and taxes…? Am I missing something?

    Yeah. I think you are missing something. Similar house in La Jolla is going to run about 2 million or more. You are going to have to sacrifice some serious square footage to come in with the same monthly payment. Even with MR
