I saw one house sell higher than it should have after a long time on the market. It turned out that the seller and a friend swapped houses with new mortgages. Not saying that happened in this situation at all.
I like the house and gardens CA renter. Some of other realtors on this blog could comp it faster than I can.

Did you ask closing cost from seller or bank? Banks looks at net income on the sale. Corruption and collusion is possible in any transaction including real estate transaction. [/quote]Nope.
I think they just took the first offer in front of them. I have seen it happen before. Also, it appears the house on gran viaduct was purchased without a mortgage.
That means they either had cash or another property to borrow against.

January 17, 2009 at 2:30 PM #330583CA renterParticipantThanks for the responses.
I was just wondering why — after sitting for almost a year, and having gone through multiple price drops — someone suddenly popped up and wanted to pay over asking.
Yes, it is a nice house. Just thought the sale was weird. Maybe they are “mobbed-up” flippers. π
BTW, I think flippers are coming back with a vengeance. Nothing like having the government encouraging and promoting fraud and theft to get them all fired up! Free mortgages for everyone!
Thanks, all!
