Participantisn’t it from 1pm to 2pm?
I was just listening to it yesterday.
I caught about 15 minutes of it. In that 15 minutes, the host mentioned “everyone want to live here” 13 times, “have you ever seen the traffic on 5 north on Sunday afternoon? everyone in LA wants to live here!” 2 times, and “this is America’s finest city” 10 times. And after each of the above was “there is no bubble, there can’t be a bubble, not when everyone wants to live here.” after that some loser called in to ask listeners to drive to El Cajon to check out these condo conversions he’s selling. a 5-600 sqft 1 bedroom wannabe condo in beautiful El Cajon for $200,000. And then the host goes: “wow! and they claim there’s an affortability issue in San Diego?!”
If it is off the air, good riddens!

ParticipantHe says that give talks to San Diego ass of realtors.
So of course he has to lie to us. One weekend we need to get everyone here to call him with a story about our friend/coworker who is down 50-100K from last year. What is the pig going to oink?July 27, 2006 at 10:36 PM #29915mixxalot
ParticipantYeah its funny because old Chowderhead spouts his fat mouth off constantly on how he gives these fancy schmancy talks on real estate like he is some kind of guru. It would be hilarious when prices crash to have him censored or put down on the air and then he would have to eat his words for breakfast. Sorry not everyone has to live in San Diego. Its a nice place but so is Rio de Janiero and the South Pacific which cost a lot less to retire than San Diego.

ParticipantI would actually argue that Rio is not a nice place, but thats just me. Niteroi is nicer and safer (somewhat).

ParticipantBut there’s a reason that people in LA don’t live here, and just visit on summer weekends (ok, a couple of them).
1. Earning Power
2. Sometimes it’s nice to be able to go to a museum or eat out after 9pm
3. Some people are just city people… but city people do like to get away for the weekendAnd I don’t see any of these reasons changing anytime soon.
