I felt like being a shithead and decided to get into the election spirit. I decided to each my first grader what “tax” means and what “progressive” tax means.
*So first the first bag, I’m gonna confiscated 1 piece of candy for every 2 pieces she had.
*For the second bag, I’m gonna confiscate 1 piece of candy for every 2 pieces she had.
*For third bag, I confiscate 2 pieces of candy for every 1 piece she had.
And when she asks, I’m gonna tell her that I’m gonna give her all the candy I confiscated to her friends that decided to go home early and not walk up the hill to get the second and third bag….just to be “fair”…..
(Just kidding!!!!…sort of…)
I just dropped it off the break room at work…
November 5, 2012 at 12:25 PM #753764treehuggerParticipantMy family just knows they have a matter of 2-3 days before I freak out (after ingesting large amounts of sugar due to complete lack of self-control on my part) and throw everything away….I have no problem with throwing that trash away. The kids and dogs have fun trick or treating, great, doesn’t mean I let them keep it.
Problem was they would attempt to hide it in their rooms and then discovered the destructive power of 2 very creative weimaraners! We don’t leave food in our rooms anymore.
Da$% those people that bring it into the workplace….

Wow…They don’t mind?
I don’t think they mind or else my better half would not do it.
Silly me, it just crossed my mind that you possibly wanted to know if my kids were bothered by the situation. No not in any apparent way. They are excited about the 5 they get to keep. We ask them to dwell on how much fun they had with the day and their friends and costumes and whatnot, and to think about how nice it is for strangers to go to the trouble to decorate and pass out treats. -
