OT: Taxes and Tax Consultant

Recently I started working as an independent contractor, and that got me looking into all the SE tax related calculations. As I complete the Schedule SE calculations, I have a nagging question “what about CA tax?”. Are there any associated CA taxes for an independent contractor, similar to the quarterly estimated self employment taxes?

This leads me to my second question – Can some one recommend a tax consultant who might be able to help? What qualifications should I look for in the prospective tax professional?
