    I agree with Desmond. We took out our shower door when we bought the place because it was dirty and moldy looking around the hinges and corners. We took everything off with the intentions of cleaning everything and putting things back and recaulking the shower door frames back. Taking the caulking off was a pain, but after removing everything, we decided on a shower curtain instead because it made the shower look much cleaner. We had the drilled holes in the tile from the original door, but filled those in with grout. Things look much nicer and cleaner.

    Seldom wear out – The side frame and the top are in good shape, the bottom frame has worn terribly. Rust spots and it looks as though they didnt use the right screws because they are rusted over. The lip that the shower door clips to to close – it looks like someone took a hacksaw to it (jagged edge) so when you pull the door shut it takes some extra effort to close.

    All that being said, a bottom track could probably remedy the problems im facing.

    500 for a frameless would be fine but im still worried about the existing holes being covered up. Good idea from someone on grouting them.

    Regarding shower curtain, thats not an option but thank you for the suggestion.

    The home is only 7 years old if that makes a difference.
