If this is a legitimate year-round day/week/month rental, why don’t “Shelton & Itorria” make a reference in their ad to their website with calendars where it shows each unit(s) they are “managing” blocked off on the dates it is already reserved? If they don’t have a website, who are “Shelton & Itorria” and what is their business/position? Are they the owners, agents, mgrs?
Nobody would sign off of a RE craigslist inquiry as “Best Regards.”
They close by saying, “Do have a great day and I hope to hear back from you soon, so I can forward you the `booking paper work.’ Cheers…Best regards..i hope to read back from you ASAP to finalize this.”
I say it is a scam. If these two were “professional,” they would list their full names, business name and affiliation, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and paypal account name to any inquiries on their ad, so you could make an online deposit.
They enclose the address of the property and maybe it is a legitimate address. They know the inquirer, Mr. R.C. is from out of town so how is he going to check on it? He has no way of knowing if it is actually a rental or if it is even theirs to rent. It could be their apartment they are living in . . . lol :=].
bubble_contagion, why don’t you have Mr. R.C. respond and fvck with them a little and see if they’ll e-mail some `booking paper – work.’ Tell him NOT to give out his street address or phone number. Just for fun . . . and let us know how it goes.

September 4, 2010 at 9:37 PM #600553sdrealtorParticipantI would be very leary about doing something like that over CL. If they get ripped off, they will be screwed because it would be even more expensive to find something else. They are better off going through vrbo.com.

I have attached some of the pictures of the apartrment with this message ,the condo is located at 160 Bleecker St, New York ,United States
– “apartment” spelling
– comma spacing
– Mentioning “United States” main give-awayThe property is much available for the dates you have chosen
-WTF?Have some fun with it. Contact them and find out how they want the money sent. Western Union? Money Gram? Post office box?
After I sold my house in 2008, I ran into alot of these fucking bastards and the text read about the same. It is usually some scum bag from Nigeria making a load of money. The number of people scamming on CL would astound you.
