OT: “Archer” on FX

Is any else watching Archer on FX (generally on Thursday nights, I believe)? One of the funniest shows I can remember. It’s an animated series about a spy named Archer who works for an agency run by his mother. The pilot – “Mole Hunt” – is one of the funniest hours of TV I’ve ever seen.

Anyhow, here are a couple of clips. Unfortunately there’s not much online yet.

Archer loses a bet so the agent pretending to be his wife (Lana) has to sleep with a guy who they suspect has planted a bomb on the zeppelin they’re traveling on:

Archer is OK. FX has some good TV, “Alsways Sunny in Philly”. I am hooked on “Breaking Bad” on AMC, the third season starts in March, check it out. Mad Men is really good.

Absolutely love Archer. Guy that does it used to do “Frisky Dingo” on Adult Swim… great stuff too.

Show is hilarious and doesn’t hold back in terms of truly tasteless humor. Archer is James Bond as Ian Fleming originally envisioned him, but far worse in terms of homophobia, sexism, misogynistic tendencies and really bad judgment.

Great supporting cast, especially Jessica Walter as his mom. That relationship is beyond twisted.
