That fact that women want financial support is evidenced by the HUGE government bureaucracy dedicated to tracking down men for child support. If women were self sufficient (they are not) such bureaucracy would not exist.
The wage garnishments orders for child support that hit company HR departments across the country are almost all from women.
jpinpb, is correct that SOME women are more than capable of being great single mothers. But as davelj pointed out, they are the exception, not the rule.
I think the compassionate thing to do, if you want a family, or to do good is to adopt a poor child from a poor country. How about becoming a foster parent to a child from Cambodia, Brazil or Mississippi?
I’m thinking about fostering a child from a poor country then sponsoring that child to go to school in USA while he/she still remains part of the birth family. (I wouldn’t claim to be a good parent, so boarding school might be the solution).
Making your own babies is the most selfish and environmentally destructive thing I can think of. No offense to you babies loving people here, but don’t you think the main reason you want to reproduce is to extend yourself and to live vicariously through your children?

[/quote]That are their expectations in return for youth and beauty?
Maybe they should list their expectations rather than obfuscate the prices of their assets with talk of love, commitment and such crap.
