Intel buys McAfee.

Mark my words. Intel just flushed $7billion down the toilet. Intel sucks at software. Intel is clueless about security. Intel managing a software security/services company…LOL….

Why oh why didn’t they acquire another chip company to strengthen their portfolio is beyond me.. Hello, maybe Infineon or XXXcom that does wireless chips…

This is going to go down as dumb an acquisition as

HP + Compaq

Symantec + Veritas (which BTW Symantec did felt it had to do because the security business growth was slowing…Yeah that worked out well. And now Intel wants to diversify into security biz for growth….LOL)

And apparently Intel didn’t check that neither McAfee or Symantec are really leaders in mobile security, which is where the growth would be (if any)…

Flush…I just heard $7billion go down the toilet…

Well I guess at least the market cap didn’t get wacked because the CEO decided to moonlight with a contractor…

Hey Intel Board of Directors, you want growth, fire Otellini and hire Hurd. I hear he’s looking for a job….
