    Thanks for the advice. It pretty much confirms what I’ve expected. I also plan to paint & do some minor upgrades (all contingent upon closing)

    I’ve had to break a couple of leases. In each instance, I just told the landlord what was going on, and they were ok with it.

    Actuallyt he rental market is extraordinarily tight in SD County right now. If you put an add in CRaigs list you would likely have a line of applicants. I know someone looking right now for a modest 3BR rental in my area and there is virtually nothing on the rental market right now.

    Actuallyt he rental market is extraordinarily tight in SD County right now. If you put an add in CRaigs list you would likely have a line of applicants. I know someone looking right now for a modest 3BR rental in my area and there is virtually nothing on the rental market right now.
