Teaching tolerance is good.
Teaching either directly or indirectly that homosexuality is ‘normal’ – I want to opt out. And ultimately I think that is exactly what this bill is all about.
I do perceive that there are some similarities in in this agenda, with the push to have intelligent design to be taught. It is more about a political will for social engineering than real substantive content for students.

April 27, 2011 at 10:37 PM #689859scaredyclassicParticipantit’s definitely interesting that homosexuality was a mental illness, then it wasn’t. and that people used to get arrested all the time for consensually having sex. it’s at least as interesting as the cherry tree story with geo washington we spent a day on in 1971.

So any behavior exhibited by less than 10% of the population is not normal? And you don’t want your kids being taught that such behaviors are normal?
So do you not want to teach your kids that it’s normal to:
Have 4 or more children?
Join the clergy?
