    We go to a Chinese dentist in L.A. (Monterey Park). Chinese dentists up there are very competitive with each other. The one we use is higher end than most Chinese dentists (they run from scary to excellent), but still a lot less expensive than your average dentist. And he does a great job.

    There are several Chinese/Taiwanese dentists in the area. I’m sure they would not be opposed to charging discounted rate for cash payment.

    Thanks for the comments. I also used a cheap(er) dentist in Monterey Park, but it seems everyone is jumping on the implant band wagon. This is surgery.

    exactly, this is surgery.

    you went from your original plan of having it done in Taiwan (1st world country with established standards) to Mexico (3rd world country with questionable standards). Just do not think it is worth the risk. I would equate Mexico with China in term of medical and dental facilities. There are definitely good ones, but the bad ones out number them. And finding the good ones take a lot of effort.
