I vote drywall. cheap, easy, clean. Ok for ply ($$), but no on pallets. You need to have no gaps to keep mice out of the wall.

I am going to use it as a place to keep the dogs when I have workers in my house helping me to remodel the interior, so I want it to be comfortable (insulation). I wont have a car in there (my car is not garage worthy), but I will have a strange mix of dog crates, tools, and my treadmill. I am hoping the insulation and covering will also add some measure of sound reduction to be sure to not annoy neighbors with the sound of the treadmill or if the dogs bark a bit.
If I just used it for tools and to store the car, I would probably not insulate and try to finish as it is just a small stand alone one car garage.

December 15, 2013 at 6:16 PM #769135JCParticipantJust one behind me. Everyone else is lovely. He gets in rages from time to time and yells the F bomb at me and the dogs. My other neighbors say “What dogs? I never hear them”.
I like to keep the peace as much as possible and he seems a little scary so seems like worthwhile investment.
December 15, 2013 at 8:38 PM #769137spdrunParticipantIf the guy’s that much of an asshat, I’m not sure if it’s worth spending money to appease him. You really can’t win with people like him, so why bother trying?
If he persists in harassing you, put up a camera (even if fake). His behavior may not rise to the level of harassment or disorderly conduct, but he may behave himself if he knows that he might end up with a lawsuit on his hands.
December 16, 2013 at 10:05 PM #769167JCParticipantIt is weird. The icky behavior comes in spurts. I work a lot of hours and from home so my routine varies little so you can pretty much expect the same sounds out of my house on a daily basis. Maybe he travels a lot? Normally, I would go chat with someone but when I tried to talk to him when he came by to yell at/threaten me, I could not get a word in. Several neighbors have offered to set him straight but I’d rather just keep things as peaceful as possible. AND, the insulation will also keep the dogs warm when they are in there so it is not just to manage him. Oh, and it might keep me from passing out on the treadmill in the Summer as it gets very toasty in there. I need less excuses to avoid the treadmill!:)
