Yeah, this seems like less than bullish news for the Treasury market. Yikes.

Then again, an expansion of Chinese domestic consumption might be bullish for US exporters. Will our citizens fill their WalMarts with US made goods?

Is it time to buy China off this stimulus plan? The iShares China ETF (FXI) has fallen from 70 to around 25. The low was 19.35 a couple of weeks ago.

I don’t think FXI will be as great a buy as you think. China is in big trouble and they are going to go through some very rough times ahead. I think the better bet is wait for the pop we get off of this news and then buy FXP instead.
