May 8, 2009 at 9:31 AM #394943afx114ParticipantSorry to thread jack, but can anyone recommend a good way to practice some soldering 101? I’ve never soldered before, but I got a Thing-a-ma kit for my birthday and I’d like to practice on something cheap before I jump in and ruin my new toy. I’m guessing I can go into Radio Shack and get a basic blank board and some parts and just solder away until I get confident enough.. true or false?

Yup, the ostentatious, arrogant, soccer-mommed-suv-driving, people who can’t afford to live in Del Mar…CV…
π
But actually if the person is in san diego county, I don’t mind traveling a bit. I found a spare trip computer I can put in place until I get mine done….
It’s been like this for 4 years, and though I really don’t need to get it repaired, I’m just getting fed up with looking at a pixelated screen.
You’re lucky, you have a TT, and there is a class action settlement for TT owners.
