    It wasn’t the Vandenberg launch, that was Nov. 5. This one was last night (Nov. 8). More info here.

    The best case is that this was a Polaris missile test. The worst case is that someone was testing a Club K container missile system.

    The Pentagon is “playing dumb” here and has not authorized any dissemination of the incident yet, IMHO.

    Its just an airplane coming from the horizon towards shore which causes an optical illusion of it climbing. The winds aloft are catching the contrails making it look like a parabolic arc. It is much ado about nothing.
