There is no better time for California to become the national model for the Fairtax. With high unemployment and property tax revenue dropping through the floor this would be the time to switch to a set sales tax replacing income taxes.

People who live in the fire zone city of Alpine knew when they bought there that their kids would have to be bussed to El Cajon. I’m really pissed off that both of these measures passed. And I’m thinking that the voting age should be moved up to 25 because college kids have no idea what it’s like to live in the real world.

November 9, 2008 at 4:26 PM #301969Mama4obamaParticipantThat is what I will do…. El Cajon used to have a saying ” Buy it in El Cajon” on flags all over the city. Santee runs on a budget with a surplus. The local government officials bragged they spend as they go. I hate all the traffic in El Cajon and La Mesa anyway.
