That was very touching, sdrealtor, and I’m happy for you and your son.
I like it that there is often a community feel to this blog and people share important events in their lives as well as practical advice. Regardless of what happens to housing and the economy, the best things in life are always free.
That’s so cool sdrealtor!
Wierdly enough, I also remember learning how to ride my bike! I also remember the $ss-whopping I got when I wore holes the toes off of my brand new Converse sneakers , because we lived on a hill, and I hadn’t figure out how to use the brakes!
They were sky blue Cons, and my bike was a Chopper with a leopard skin seat…ah…the 60’s 😉
It’s amazing because I never really thought about it until we took off the training wheels, went outside and got started. There are moments in life that transcend all else and I look forward to stumbling upon a few more.
Anyone else out there remember learning to ride a bike the first time or anything else as momumental as this in your childhood?
You have just been served up one of the great memories – savor it and make sure you’ve got some photos to commemmorate the day!
I got pictures but the best photos are indelibly etched in mind!
