masayako, I meant how much is your homeowner’s premium in PQ? I call homeowners insurance “fire insurance.” It is the same thing.

February 2, 2011 at 4:01 PM #661782AnonymousGuestWe lost our house in the 2007 fires. We had a good experience with AAA. We felt very luck compared to others with different insurance companies. This was also true for people that lost their homes in the 2003 fires.
Make sure you have enough insurance, you are responsible for make sure you enough coverage. Our house would have cost $275 per sq foot to rebuild, we were insured for $166 per sq foot. Make sure you understand how any replacement cost coverage works. Most likely it will be limited to some percentage of your total coverage. AAA is not limited, I heard numbers as low as 25% above coverage amount. For example, if you have $100,000 of coverage with 25% replacement cost cap would cover your loss up to $125,000.
