We had Central Mortgage Company, and by far they were the WORST servicer we ever had. 3 occasions where they had our payment in their “mailroom” for over 7 days and then tried to charge me a late fee. Luckly I sent it delivery confirmation via the US postal service after the first time they pulled that crap and was able to show then they were full of Sh*t. I threatened to sue and started using Union Bank of California’s free pay service where they guaranteed ontime payments. 2 more times after that Union Bank had to call and deal with Central Mortgage claiming it was late where the bank had proof it was electronically recieved. Refi’ed away from them and now have BofA.

October 26, 2010 at 8:46 PM #622988sdbuyer2010ParticipantThanks everybody for your inputs. I have scheduled payments through my chase account’s bill pay free service (central mortgage said I dont have to send the coupon if the payment has loan number on it). First payment will be Nov 1, keeping my fingers crossed.
