I’ve said before, so long as companies and individuals get paid upfront fees, that’s what they’ll focus.
Even if there are crawl-back provisions, everyone will maximize the upfront income, the future be dammed.
The reasoning is that the individuals pocketing the fees will be long gone before anyone holds them to account.
