ParticipantCould be an intelligent individual realizing that its better to have 298k now rather than next year (when the dollar has even less purchasing power).

ParticipantI have already talked to the listing agent and am on my way over there. They have already received several offers above lp. They are collecting offers. The seller has not even submitted his doc package for the short sale yet. So yeah this is a bait. It doesn’t hurt to shoot in an offer though but don’t count on a quick response. My guess is that it will go for mid 300’s.

ParticipantI guess we have to give credit to that seller for doing what it takes to elicit offers, while many other home sellers out there are still waiting for their first offers.
