I work with a number of people who would not consider buying a home 6 months ago. They are NOW seeking Realtors to buy a home, or in the process of selecting a house.
Call them sheep if you want. I am buying one too. Use whatever rhetoric you want.
As SDRealtor so correctly mentioned – happiness is not the same for everyone. To some, it is buying at the bottom. To some others, it is the joy of home ownership.May 21, 2008 at 5:00 PM #209407tomatoParticipantI work with a number of people who would not consider buying a home 6 months ago. IMO this means when the real deals come on the market, many other bidders will have already wasted their money on the poopy old houses (think Mira Mesa, Clairemont) that they’re getting such great “deals” on now. I certainly hope it pans out this way. As many have discussed, the high-end market is stickier on the way down so hopefully there will be few buyers left when those hit the market. Anyhoo, sitting tight in my condo, waiting for some blood on the streets.

Every person buying a home right now in Mira Mesa/Clairemont is one less buyer I’m competing with in a few years for a home in Scripps.
