Allan from Fallbrook
ParticipantTemekuT: I know it’s easy to lose one’s temper, and there have been a couple of times I really wanted to pop off and say something personal, but we can’t talk about raising the quality of the dialogue and then revert to cursing.
We’re supposed to be and should be better than that. Might sound self-righteous, but there it is.

ParticipantIt’s all good. Did you see my ultra-balanced post on the Budget thread? svelte did a nice job.
Hope God doesn’t throw me in the oven for cursing out luchbee. He deserved it though. If you’re for separation of church and state, you killed 100M people. Nice.
So which is worse? The topic of this thread, which is insulting (although not ad hominem), or calling the OP a dickhead for posting it?

Participantluchabee I don’t know what your smoking, but presence or lack of presence of christianity has nothing to do with autocratacy, centralization, totalitarianism yadayada.
Ever heard of the Spanish Inquisition? Totalitarianism how about the monarchic (christian based) system that lasted in europe for 2000 years? How about the spread of Christianity in the americas via the jesuits etc. Pretty bloody stuff.
Its funny how people conveniently pick and choose certain eras to fit their argument and ignore the entire picture. All I need is one counter example to nullify your argument. I think I’ve made my point.
